FALL/WINTER 2020 UNIVERSAL THREAD COLD WEATHER ACCESSORIES & LAYERING
When working towards sustainability goals, I was able to leverage my technical expertise to help engineer sustainability into our materials while maintaining quality and performance. For example, recycled polyester is often slick, tends to pill and does not have the same recovery as a virgin fiber. Having this information allowed our team to engineer a yarn blend that met our goals while passing manufacturing testing requirements and meeting costumer expectations. I was able to add elastic threads/starts to areas of the item where needed and worked creatively to meet sustainability goals while delivering a quality product to our guest.
FALL/WINTER 2020 CONCEPT RIG
During my time at Target, I had the opportunity to study knitwear design at STOLL headquarters, attend the Pitti Filati yarn tradeshow and trend shop in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, NYC & LA. Leveraging my knowledge of both design priorities & production, I completed three trips to Shanghai to assist in face to face negotiations. After developing my product at multiple factories I helped to advise my cross-functional team on best execution, quality and worked directly with our factories to cost engineer high-volume items.
After completing CLO3D training, I developed an interest in leveraging 3D within the Accessories department to reduce sampling and waste. Upon asking for a stretch assignment into 3D, I represented Target at the PI apparel 3D conference in New York and helped to onboard factories and 3rd party vendors to assist in 3D development. While evaluating knit in 3D is still a challenge, we were able to land concepts and color earlier using Shima Seiki SDS One Apex + CLO 3D technology.
SPRING/SUMMER 2020 UNIVERSAL THREAD ACCESSORIES & LAYERING
While working in a category that financially supported OSFM garments, I developed plus-sized grading for the Target Women’s Accessories department to extend our size offering based on new customer data found in collaboration with Human Solutions; Size North America. In partnership with my Merchant and Inventory teams, we were able to provide test sales data to validate the size extension across all of our Layering product.

ZOOZATS WOMEN’S COLLEGIATE APPAREL
I collaborated with a local apparel company to help expand their assortment into unlicensed apparel. While their main focus is delivering licensed apparel to Universities across the US, they were able to increase revenue by developing trend right product that did not require royalties.

China International Sandy Beach Swimsuit Culture Exposition 2012
While in University I was invited to represent the United States in the China International Sandy Beach and Swimsuit Culture Exposition, a promotional swimwear event and design competition in Huludao, China. The competition featured Chinese students along with 10 additional students representing the United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong, India, Brazil and Japan. We were given the task of designing for the theme “Ocean Tales” and submitting technical flats for factories to produce a portion of our collection. Huludao, widely considered the world capitol of swim production hosted the live fashion event in August 2012.
